I was lucky enough to have a bag of wild garlic given to us last week, my immediate thought was “oh great! I’ll stick it in a stir fry!”. Which is my thought to most vegetables… it’d be great with pork and soy sauce, or beef with oyster sauce. But then I came across this Jamie Oliver recipe. A wild garlic and sausage fusilli, it is the perfect after work, after school dinner! Sausage and pasta… what’s not to like?
Look at the beautiful leaves I got!
So here’s how I did it, I used penne because that’s what I had in the cupboard, and I used one dried chilli instead of two so that Ash can eat it.
It went down very well with everyone, very easy to make and plenty left for lunch next day! If you’re interested in foraging for your very own wild garlic, check this foraging guide out.
